What and where to eat in District 5, Saigon?

As the “home” of many Vietnamese from Chinese origin, the culinary of District 5 has been influenced most by that one of the Chinese. You can enjoy these cultural dishes such as Dimsum, Mỳ gia, Cơm , ect. Most of the restaurants offered those have little high prices, but you should find out whether they are worthy or not.

Dimsum Baoz

Dimsum Baoz, a very Chinese-style restaurant in Saigon, is remarkable for its tasty Dimsum dish: the fillings are wrapped inside a thin layer of flour and savored with spices, sea-foods, and vegetables. Besides, there are also many other kinds of foods such as the crispy fried tofu, Chinese fried noodles and so on. The restaurant is quite spacious and open but sometimes a little too crowded and noisy.

A long-standing family restaurant, Huê Ký Mì Gia  is renowned for its “mì vịt tiềm” dish, a delicious dish with fragrantly braised duck, well-cooked noodles, and tasty broth. The restaurant was built by the Chinese in the Chợ Lớn area. The cost is quite high because of its professional service, but it is still very much worth it.
