Cafe Apartment Block in Saigon

Saigoneers often call Apartment Block at #47 Nguyen Hue street in District 1 as ‘Cafe Apartment Block’ since there are a large number of coffee shops here. It would be a real pity if you walked around Nguyen Hue pedestrian street without stepping inside this apartment block.
The apartment block was actually a housing estate, but the residents opened up some small cafe businesses right inside or put the apartments for rent for coffee shops or fashion boutiques. Each shop is decorated distinctively, leaving such strong impression on both the locals and expats. Linh Nguyen, one of Maze Vietnam’s photography contributors, spent a weekday afternoon chilling out in the aroma of coffee. Here are some of the best photos he took when he visited the Cafe Apartment Block!

  1. I always thought coffee shops are somewhere bright and luxurious, but obviously, I have been changed. This cafe apartment block gives me a wholly different taste – mysterious but warm. I also adore the ones coming up with this idea of cafeteria.
By the way, thanks for sharing.

  2. The cafes’ settings give them such a cool vibe. I would love to try some drinks at these places. Hope that they will live up to my expectation!

  3. It’s the first time I’ve heard about this amazing cafe apartment block. Just like you are wandering in an old and beautiful town. This block is such an ideal place to hang out with friends. Thanks for your suggestion.
