  1. Hello I am planning to visit Vietnam HCMC in October without any tour guides. And I really want to check out the monkey island and Vamsat. I was reading your article on how to get to CanGio from HCMC, and there are two buses running, is bus how much is the bus 20? Are they all public transit? And if I take bus 75, I still need to take the ferry to get into the isalnd? or there are more than one entrance to CanGio? I would really appreciate your reply if possible! Thank you 🙂

    1. Hello Kayla. For your question, all vehicles from Saigon to Can Gio have to get through Binh Khanh ferry with a fee of 4,500VND/passenger. Specifically, the ticket for bus 75 already covers that fee so you just need to sit back and relax for the whole ride. On the other hand, bus 20, which is 5,000VND/turn, stops at Binh Khanh ferry and then you need to get off to buy a ticket. On arriving, take bus 90 to the last destination at Can Thanh town at 6,000VND/turn. Anyway, so glad to know that you’re visiting Vietnam. Hope you have a great trip and everthing goes to plan.

  2. Hi, Thanks to your blog I just visited Monkey Island and put together a little video guide to getting the bus there which has slightly updated stop location and prices. I hope you don’t mind the plug but I thought it might help more of your readers as nothing beats being able to see where you’re going. I had a brilliant day out and highly recommend it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYJ-LEz9DZI
