STREET FOOD AREAS

Hang Duong Market
The most popular and probably the only place where you can enjoy seafood is Hang Duong market. At Hang Duong market, you’ll find yourself in the middle of seafood paradise. Fresh seafood, just everywhere. Prawns, crabs, octopuses, and fish are all fresh. At every seafood stand, there will always be a person stirring over and over prepared dishes to keep them hot. There are 2 options to choose: Pick your own fresh food and ask the person to cook you a meal or pick directly from the pan. Most people would go for the first option. The atmosphere in the market is just bustling from the sound of city people getting clamped by crabs.

The price and service here are actually quite nice in comparison with those in Vung Tau. You do not have to worry about being ripped off. You can also bargain for a good deal if you think something is too expensive. The price ranges from 50 000 VND to 80 000 VND/box/type of food. However, it is worth mentioning that you should not try oysters here. They cost the same as but are smaller than oysters in Saigon.

Tips: When you stay and eat at the place, you are served with nice and really fresh food, but if you take away, you will probably end up paying through your nose for some messed up food. The tip is telling the seller you are just bringing them to the beach and cooking on your own, so if something is not fresh enough, you can come back and they know they are in trouble.

30/4 Beach
There are many food stalls in this area with really nice dishes that you can bring to the beach so make sure to give it a try.

RESTAURANTS

Thanh Lich Restaurant
There are absolutely nothing to complain about the dishes here and you can choose whatever you want from the tank when they are still under the water. A plus point for the place is that it has really good sauces to come with every kind of seafood, so make sure to give it a try. However, if you visit this restaurant over the weekend, you will have to wait for a certain amount of time because it will be crowded.
