There are several buses departing throughout the day in Northern cities, so it is easy to get a bus journey to Dien Bien. If you start from a big city like Hanoi, there will be up to three bus stations to choose: My Dinh, Giap Bat, and Nuoc Ngam. My Dinh is highly recommended for providing high-quality services and some modern-looking sleeping buses. Please note that your trip to Dien Bien will last approximately 12 hours and cost 300 000VND, so make sure that you bring headphones and a mini cushion to get a physical comfort while sleeping.
