What do you usually hear about Vietnam? Food? Tourist attractions? Have you ever wanted to find out more about Vietnamese art and culture in the most local way?

Then you should write down the ‘Tran Phu st.’ in your wishlist right away because it is filled with a myriad of painting and frame workshops. It is no musée, but still, you can see the art of Da Vinci, Picasso, Van Gogh, and so on remade through the hands of the amateur and professional painters. It is not a Church or Temple, but still, you can see the artwork of Buddha or Jesus. Also, you can find out more about the traditions of Vietnam throughout the frame filled with brush lines, as our ancestors usually say: “A hundredfold of hearing is not as good as seeing.” You can buy a wooden handmade picture frame and play Street Fighters in the city too if you want.

There are a lot of types of paintings available here. You can find oil-paintings, lacquer paintings, and so on.

P/S: Come here, and you will feel the gluish ‘aroma’ of the paint, mixed with the polluted air of Saigon (sometimes urine), though it is cancerous (so bring a face mask with you).

Wanna go to the largest nightclub in Vietnam? Welcome to America Discotheque. Located in the Windsor Plaza Hotel complex in District 5, the nightclub is a popular nightspot for both residents and expats. You can enjoy the thumping dance and techno tunes played by DJs on the main dance floor or hip hop and RnB in a separated room. The prices, however, are quite high, so you should carefully consider the drinks and foods here.

You can enjoy these cultural dishes such as Dimsum, Mỳ gia, Cơm , ect. Most of the restaurants offered those have little high prices, but you should find out whether they are worthy or not.

Dimsum Baoz

Dimsum Baoz, a very Chinese-style restaurant in Saigon, is remarkable for its tasty Dimsum dish: the fillings are wrapped inside a thin layer of flour and savored with spices, sea-foods, and vegetables. Besides, there are also many other kinds of foods such as the crispy fried tofu, Chinese fried noodles and so on. The restaurant is quite spacious and open but sometimes a little too crowded and noisy.

The Chinese community used to settle and began to sell a large number of Chinese products here, so Chinese culture has dominated all over this district.
